Exercise Physiology

What is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist?

Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are degree qualified allied health professionals who specialise in the delivery of exercise for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries.  The accreditation and professional conduct of an AEP is overseen by their governing body – Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).  AEPs base exercise prescription for disease management and prevention on up to date scientific evidence and tailor it to accommodate an individual’s capacity and goals.  Health Studio’s AEPs are registered with Medicare Australia, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, WorkCover QLD, NDIS and are recognised by most private health insurers.
